Virginia Morrison
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and a Cofounder at Second Chance Beer Company, San Diego’s most dog-friendly brewery, that gives pups a second chance through support of local dog rescues. Previously a successful private-practicing attorney, Virginia brings extensive employment law and business experience to the “Seize a Pint, Save a Pup,” brewery. In her role, Virginia spearheads key company initiatives and business units, including sales, finance, marketing, legal, the “1% for Pups” philanthropic program, and community and political outreach.
Virginia graduated summa cum laude with a degree in business pre-law from Bowling Green State University and earned her JD with Honors from the University of Michigan Law School. She is a Board of Directors’ Member for the national Brewers Association, where she serves as Chair of its DEI Committee, and former President of the San Diego Brewers Guild, where she founded the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee. When she isn’t fostering rescue pups at the brewery or building the best company culture, Virginia rejuvenates by meditating in the mornings; playing with husband and co-founder Marty and foster fail, Citra; running in the rain; and drinking her namesake beer “Legally Red.”
